This community service activity aims to improve the productivity of Pegagan ducks through the optimization of local feed with the addition of probiotics and organic acids in Kota Daro II Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The main problems faced by the partner farmers include low feed efficiency and limited knowledge of functional feed technology. The activity was carried out using participatory and applicative approaches through three stages: socialization, training on local feed formulation and mixing, and technical assistance with field evaluation. The results showed increased understanding among farmers about functional feed and enhanced technical ability to mix local ingredients such as rice bran, ground corn, and vegetable waste with probiotics and organic acids. Application of this innovation improved duck health, feed intake, and feed efficiency. Beyond the technical outcomes, the program also strengthened farmers’ socio-economic capacity through the formation of small business groups focused on innovative local feed. This initiative demonstrates that simple technology adoption can be a sustainable solution to enhance productivity and independence among local duck farmers.
